Position Summary
Basic Function:
Responsible for the development and execution of the Distribution Center’s Human Resource programs and procedures in the areas of associate recruitment, selection, placement and orientation; associate benefits, associate relations and associate services; equal employment opportunity; associate records; and payroll, within the parameters of employment laws and regulations and company policy.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Provides an environment that promotes quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
Administers employment practices concerning sourcing, recruiting, selecting and placing personnel within the distribution center organization.
Informing associates of all company policies and procedures. Ensures that associates comply with all company policies, including safety, productivity and quality guidelines.
Conducts and manages new associate orientation as well as other training and awareness programs related to Human Resource issues.
Manages the payroll processing for associates within the Distribution Center.
Manages enrollment and problem solving related to company provided associate benefit programs and assures uniform application of such programs.
Represents the company in unemployment insurance claims and hearing forums.
Coordinates the associate performance review program, wage administration and related incentive programs.
Develops and implements various associate communication programs and services such as recognition and recreational activities and associate assistance programs.
Manages workers compensation program as well as providing support services relating to the companies safety and modified duty programs.
Establishes and maintains associate personnel files and data.
Develops Managers and coaches and provides assistance with conflict resolution, administration of discipline program and other areas as needed. Assists associates in resolving concerns.
Monitors all aspects of employment to assure nondiscrimination; investigates complaints and coordinates management response and resolution.
Conducts local wage surveys.
Develops, completes and maintains regular, periodic and special reports concerning employment activity including attendance, OSHA, EEO data, turnover and staffing levels.
Administers DC merit and bonus programs.
Manages clerical support personnel assigned to Human Resources Department. Responsible for meeting or reducing budgeted expenses within department.
Assists management in organizational planning and change. 
Performs any other duties as assigned by management.
 
Requirements
Job Requirements:
  • 3-5 years Human Resource Management experience in a distribution center and/or manufacturing environment required.
  • Computer literate with experience in database management and use of word processing and spreadsheet software.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Administration or Business
